Each car is made up of thousands of different parts that each have their own purpose and they are all used in order to make sure that the car runs. There are some parts that are upgradable in your car in order to either add to the appearance or to add to the performance of your car. I will be talking about a variety of parts that will help improve your vehicle.
The first part I will be talking about is the turbo. This part of the cart is not in all cars, but can be added to a car in order to speed your car up. The turbo works by shoving more air into the combustion chamber of your engine's cylinders in order to cause a bigger explosion. With the turbo, you will need to upgrade your fuel injectors in order to put enough fuel in the cylinder to match the oxygen to cause good combustion. The turbo does not immediately kick in because it takes time for the turbo to spool up and get oxygen from the outside and then push it in. The second part is a similar part to the turbo; it is a supercharger. It also shoves air into the cylinders but it is instant with no lag. These are more common in muscle cars and drag racing cars because they are fast of the starting line. Turbos are more praised due to their higher ability to push air in after a time period.
The next part is the wheels. This is a basic part of the car, but there are a lot of choices in wheel design and tires that you can put on your car. Wheels, or rims, are the metal piece that holds the tire onto the car. They are both aesthetic and functional for the car. The wheels that you put on your car can be different weights causing the total weight of the car to be increased or decreased. With decreased weight, the car will be able to go faster because the power will have a lot less mass to move and they will be able to accelerate faster.
The last part of the car that I will talk about is exhaust. Exhaust is the way that the fumes of your car are released out of the vehicle. Different types of cars have different exhausts, but they all have the same purpose. Many stock exhausts have large mufflers in order to lower the sound of your car in order to not irritate others around you. Many car enthusiasts like the sound of their car and will upgrade their exhaust in some way to make the car louder. Some people will just take off their muffler if they want their sound to be cheap, and some with replaces all of the pipping. Here is a video of what a car sounds like without a muffler. Something that I plan to do with my car is to put a new exhaust valve where I can open and close it at the press of a button. This system will allow me to change the amplitude of the sound on my car in order to not disturb people, but allowing me to have the car be loud when I want it to be.
